The Romans called the Mediterranean Mare Nostrum—“our sea.” It’s only a short stretch for us to call it Mare Somnium Nostrum—“SeaDream’s sea.”
And that gave us a hook to write about one of our rakish, twin, mega-yacht cruisers, SeaDream II, and her upcoming, seven-day Mediterranean voyage from Valetta on the island nation of Malta, westward across the “Med” to the grand Spanish city, Seville.
Dates are October 3-10, and as Bob Lepisto, SeaDream’s President puts it: “There are a few staterooms remaining but when they’re gone, that’s it. And, I am confident we will sell out. It’s an incredible itinerary and an incredible value”
Here’s Bob Lepisto’s rationale:
SeaDream II accommodates only 56 couples with a crew of 95, features five-star cuisine and, as they say in the travel trade publications, is “inclusive” —meaning just about everything the traveler might want is included.
But the best part is the money part—fares start at $2,999 per person— a value no matter how you word it
. SeaDream fares include all meals, wine with lunch and dinner, open bar with select premium brands, plus use of “water toys” from the vessel’s stern Marina, gratuities and more.
Limited space is available, is capacity controlled and this offering may be withdrawn at any time. Certain restrictions apply. Details are available at SeaDream Yacht Club 1 800 707-4911 or a travel professional.
