The Whiz Kid

Christopher Burgess, whom SeaDream Yacht Club President Bob Lepisto refers to as “the numbers whiz kid of the organization,” has been given a new post by the top-end operator of the elegant, twin mega-yacht cruisers SeaDream I and II.
The new post is Director, Database Management and Miami Operations. Burgess joined SeaDream in 2007 as Revenue and Database Manager.
Lepisto added: “This appointment recognizes Chris’ extraordinary ability to multi-task at the highest level in that rarified atmosphere so necessary to our operation—yield management. He is a conscientious and diligent worker of great ability.”
Burgess did his academic undergraduate work at the University of Miami from 1988 to 1992—during that period he served as academic captain of the University golf team.
He spent from 1993 to 2007 with the Florida firm Assurant Inc. last serving as IT Manager for Internal Ad Hoc Reporting Services. At that point he came to the attention of SeaDream Yacht Club and “we snapped him up,” Lepisto said.
From 2007 Burgess not only thrived in his SeaDream position but also studied for a degree at the University of Miami as Master of Business Administration. He received the MBA in December 2008 with a specialization in international business.
Lepisto concluded by saying “All of Chris’s colleagues at SeaDream not only appreciate the work he accomplishes at his day job—but we like his golf game too.”
