The BVI’s barefoot island and home of the painkiller. Population depends on the month – typically 250-300. This is another SeaDream destination where you may be served Champagne and Caviar in the surf followed by an amazing BBQ Luncheon. A hike is always offered to guests to visit the famous Foxy’s Bar at Great Harbour (hopefully the boutique is open) or you can stroll a few meters down the beach to the Soggy Dollar Bar. Snorkel equipment is provided as well as some of our water toys!
Nearly every publication written about Virgin Gorda will emphasize the need to visit “The Baths” – don’t miss it! SeaDream generally arrives early and anchor’s off Spanish Town to give guests an early start to view the baths before all of the tourists arrive from the neighboring Islands. You may also consider excellent Scuba Diving options or an opportunity to swim with the dolphins. After our short “technical stop” to dispatch land adventures and clearance with the officials. SeaDream navigates scenically up the coast and arrives to North Sound to anchor just off the Bitter End Yacht Club. Here we offer water sports, land adventures, hiking options with the officers and tenders to the Bitter End! Depending on the voyage, you may also visit Prickly Pear Island for another signature Champagne and Caviar Splash option with an incredible setting.

Vieques is part of the United States Commonwealth of Puerto Rico (USCW), but, like the rest of Puerto Rico, retains strong influences from 400 years of Spanish ownership. Its two main towns are Isabel Segunda the administrative center on the northern side of the island, and Esperanza on the southern side. At peak, the population of Vieques is around 10,000. The island's name is a Spanish spelling of an American Indian word (likely Taíno) said to mean "small island". It also has the nickname "Isla Nena", usually translated from the Spanish as "Little Girl Island", alluding to its perception as Puerto Rico's little sister. Today the former navy land is a national wildlife refuge, with numerous beaches that still retain the names given by the navy, including Red Beach, Blue Beach, Green Beach and others. The beaches are commonly listed among the top beaches in the Caribbean for their azure-colored waters and white sands. SeaDreamers can visit the very unique Bio Bay in the evening via an old school bus (the only bus on the island) This adventure is always receiving great reviews. Guests can also stroll the small town or go for a nice bike ride to one of the magnificent beaches.
SeaDream just may be the only commercial vessel that calls to Fajardo Bay anchoring meters from the El Conquistador Resort. Here you have several land adventure options including Resort Golf, Scuba, Bio Bay and a full resort pass (fee required) that includes the water park and the resorts private Island. Mountain Bikes can also be used to explore the picturesque coast line of Puerto Rico.

The Underwater Snorkel Trails of Trunk Bay

A Yachting Land Adventure that offers the very best snorkeling to be had in the USVI while visiting Trunk Bay - rated one of the ten most beautiful beaches in the world. Board an open-air safari bus to journey up and over the hills of St John (with a quick stop or two to enjoy the spectacular vistas) before arriving at Trunk Bay. Lounge on the beach or use the snorkel equipment provided to explore the National Park Service's underwater marked trails. The trails include plaques on the bottom of the sea, describing the coral formations and fish that inhabit the waters. If you are new to snorkeling, your guide is happy to provide instruction. If you are an "old hand," you'll find an abundance and variety of sea creatures and underwater terrains to explore. Simply put, it doesn't get any more beautiful than this!

Golf at "Mahogany Run"

On most days, a steady wind sweeps through the emerald dales on the north shore of St. Thomas to blow past beautiful vacation homes and over the scenic fairways and greens of the sometimes-infuriating Mahogany Run Golf Course. Major celebrities and several tourists simply love Mahogany Run. The course is a difficult but rewarding 18 holes of golf for anyone carousing through the British and US Virgin Islands. Bill Clinton played here back in January 1997. He left something of personal lament and signed an autograph of a photo of the course's most scenic hole, which is framed and hangs at the door to the pro shop. He wrote "only" got a four on No. 14 -- a bogey. Michael Jordan and several other professional athletes also gritted their teeth at the challenges of Mahogany Run. Actors John Travolta and Sylvester Stallone have played it. All of them came because the course designed by George and Tom Fazio has some incredibly scenery as well as some very interesting and difficult holes. SeaDream guests have the option to take the ferry or private water taxi from Cruz Bay, St. John to Red Hook, St. Thomas where a transfer van will whisk you to the North Shore to play one of the best courses in the Caribbean and some say the world!

Esperanza, Vieques Island

Bioluminescent Bay Encounter

Hidden along the Caribbean coast on the Island of Vieques, Puerto Rico is one of the most spectacular bioluminescent bays in the world. Tiny organisms known as dinoflagellates create the mysterious blue-green light. A trip into the bay is a magical and educational experience. Fish flash by in the dark water, the milky way arches overhead, and kicking your legs in the water is like moving them through stardust. This amazing experience is operated via a non-polluting electric boat staffed by a knowledgeable and entertaining captain and crew who explain the delicate balance of this rare ecosystem. As of November 1, 2011, The Department of Natural Resources no longer allows the opportunity for extended swimming in the bio bay. They have also reduced the amount of guests per boat per departure. Do not miss this amazing experience, which is suitable and recommended for all ages.

Notes Although this adventure has been offered in the past, it may not be available on all voyages. Swimming may be allowed and guests may want to plan for it, wear your swimsuit under a cover up; sandals or flip-flops work well for footwear. Access back onto the boat is eased by the availability of a ladder. The trip on the bay operates onboard a US Coast Guard certified pontoon boat equipped with an electric motor. Seating is available on the pontoon boat but there are no changing facilities, showers or restrooms onboard. The trip will operate in case of light to moderate rain. The boat is not covered but rain should not deter you from participating. Local school buses will provide the short transportation to and from the pier. These are not air-conditioned and not overly comfortable as you travel over a dirt road. However, the bus journey is limited to only about 10 minutes each way. With advance notice, persons requiring the assistance of a wheelchair can be accommodated. A minimum number of participants are required to operate this adventure. Participation on this adventure is strictly limited so early reservations are strongly recommended. Bring a towel and a bottle of water. A minimum participation is required to operate all Yachting Land Adventures and some have limited capacity. This program is booked onboard only so please make your reservations as soon as possible after boarding to avoid disappointment. Tipping of guides, drivers and other independent ground staff is at the individual guest's discretion, anticipated and appreciated.

Island Information

On most visits to this island, SeaDream is planning an evening stop at this tiny community along Vieques south coast. It is the ideal gateway to explore the amazing bioluminescent bay only a short distance to the east of town. The SeaDream tender will bring you right to the center of this small village. From the pier you can take a walk along the waterfront promenade or visit a handful of little shops. There are also a couple of bars and pleasant restaurants all within walking distance. There will be time for a stroll in this laid-back Caribbean community but do not miss the opportunity to sign up for the visit to the amazing "Bio-Bay!"

Fajardo

Bioluminescent Bay

This is a SeaDreamYachting Land Adventure that you may never forget!!! Under the blanket of night sky and the historical lighthouse of Fajardo you can touch the waters that glow with bioluminescent micro-organisms. Your activity starts at sunset in the small fishing village of Las Croabas. Here you will be met by your friendly eco-guides who will get you into your PFD (Personal Flotation Device) and situated in your back rest equipped two person kayaks. Your two Team Captains will be bringing along all necessary safety equipment, lights and refreshments. The lead Team Captain gives a thorough pre-ride training covering all aspects of the adventure and operation of the kayaks. You will paddle across the small fishermen's cover to the entrance of the Las Cabezas de San Juan Reserve. Here you enter a mystical channel that leads to a peaceful place where the mangroves create natural tunnels and the sights and sounds of wildlife surround you. During this 15 to 20 minute paddle through the mangrove your lead Captain will stop periodically to give commentary regarding the following points of interest: "• Mangrove forests. "• Bird life that inhabits the area. "• Marine life that uses the lagoon as a sanctuary. "• Information on the bioluminescent micro-organisms that give the water its mysterious light. "• Information on visible stars. After traversing this area you will enter the lagoon called Laguna Grande where you will paddle along the edge of the mangrove forest where you will watch the sparkling swirls of water created by the paddles' flow through the water and search for streaks of light created by darting fish. At this point a break is taken for about fifteen minutes under the starry skies for views of the rainforest, the lighthouse, and good conversation. Following this stop a direct return is made to the departure site for refreshments.

El Yunque Rainforest Visit with Trail Walk

El Yunque is the 3500' peak within Puerto Rico's Caribbean National Forest. Currently a finalist in the New 7 Wonders of Nature, this forest's name derives from the Indian word "Yuqui" meaning white land, but was changed by the Spanish to "Yunque" which means anvil. When the peak is viewed from the north, it actually resembles an anvil (the iron block on which metal pieces are hammered). The rainforest, covering 28,000 acres, contains 75% of the virgin forests left in Puerto Rico. The entire area is a bird sanctuary and holds claim to being the only tropical rainforest in the U.S. National Forest System. Thanks to receiving 100 billion gallons of rain per year, the forest is able to sustain some 250 species of trees, 50 types of ferns and as many as 20 varieties of wild orchids. In addition to the flora and fauna, El Yunque is also home to an array of Puerto Rican wildlife. Within the forest, there are many trees known to be over 1000 years old. There is the Tabonuco forest with trees reaching heights in excess of 100'. The Colorado forest contains the short, gnarled trees with hollowed trunks. Sierra Palms with their unusual yet distinctive root systems grow in abundance, as do the huge tropical ferns (some ferns grow over 40' tall). There are also giant hardwoods and bamboo groves in this "nature wonderland". El Yunque is home to a variety of local Puerto Rican wildlife, but perhaps the most famous would be the Amazona Uttata and the CoquU (Ko-kee). The former is better known as the Puerto Rican Parrot. It is an endangered species, very near extinction, so to see this red, blue and green beauty is a rare treat. The latter, El CoquU, is not only the national mascot, but also a source of national pride. Growing to be only " to 1" in size, it gets his name from the cricket-like mating call that literally sings his name, Co-Qui-i-i-i! Exclusive to Puerto Rico, they can be found in great numbers throughout the island. However, even though the Puerto Rican tree frog can be easily heard, he can be difficult (though not impossible) to find! Your rainforest visit includes a photo stop at La Coca Falls as well as another at the Yokahu Lookout Tower. NATURE HIKE Explore the rainforest in-depth with an informative and educated hiking adventure guide. The low-impact 25-minute walk on the BaU±o Grande Hiking Trail will allow for a genuine hands-on experience that you will never forget. The hike begins at the Palo Colorado Information Center, a good spot to see hummingbirds and bananaquits. The trail then passes the BaU±o Grande, a large man-made pool built by the Civilian Conservation Corps in the 1930's. From there, the trail enters the Palo Colorado forest, one of four forest types in El Yunque Rainforest. Hikers will take a close look at the various types of flora and fauna here and hopefully see some of the local birds EL PORTAL Stop in to visit El Portal. El Portal, which is Spanish for "gateway", is just that, a gateway to knowledge about tropical forests, in particular El Yunque. This center gives visitors a better understanding of the needs and complexities of tropical forests and the practices required for their sound management and preservation. Located within the entrance to El Yunque, the facility is modern and airy, as it was constructed to blend into the natural surroundings. Large, open plazas and patios overlook the forest and Atlantic Ocean. Visitors can enjoy listening to a nearby stream and jungle sounds played over the audio system, as well as the mood lighting on the foliage. All of these elements were considered in order to celebrate the bond between people and nature. Inside the center, 12,000 square feet of exhibit space is devoted to explaining the importance of tropical forests in general. Three pavilions offer information through interactive exhibits and bilingual displays. Also, you will have the opportunity to view a 12-minute film narrated by Jimmy Smits, the actor, which discusses the history of the El Yunque, some of the species you will encounter with an emphasis on the Puerto Rican Parrot and the challenges the forest rangers face in preserving them. The staff of El Portal will also be on hand to provide further information on the center and the rainforest. This is a SeaDream Land Adventure that you will charish!

Notes Guests should wear light weight clothing & comfortable, non slippery walking shoes. Please remember to bring your cameras. Circle St. Barts on Fast N' Fun

This seagoing adventure is one of our favorites and offers a fantastic, fun AND FAST, way to gain a unique perspective of the island of St. Barts. Circumnavigate the island aboard a 30-foot long Big Rapid in-submersible boat originally designed for rescue at sea. Up to 10 of your fellow SeaDream guests stand buckled into upright back supports, which are surprisingly comfortable and give you a great view. Your skipper is a retired yacht captain, who enjoys taking visitors on this unique ride to see the hidden coves and billionaire mansions along the coastline. Starting in Gustavia harbor, pass Shell Beach towards Pointe de Gouverneur, where the usual south-easterly swell makes for some wet fun as your specially designed boat takes the waves. Continuing past gorgeous secluded beaches, you reach the southeast point of the island and the Atlantic Ocean. Beautiful views of Grand Fond valley and Morne Vitet, St. Bart's highest peak catch your eye as the boat skims to the north side of the island, passing the unique airport, more lovely beaches, famous restaurants and hotels such as Nikki Beach, The Eden Rock and St. Barts Isle-De-France among others as well as many secluded villas. Rounding Pointe de Colombier, you're back in the Caribbean. A short stop is made in the bay at Rockefeller Beach for you to dive overboard for a swim and have a cool drink. Then it's back to Gustavia harbor, with plenty of time left for exploring and shopping in town.

The Baths

This is the "Must-see & Do" land adventure on Virgin Gorda, if not in the entire British Virgin Islands. Open-air safari wagons will take you and your fellow SeaDreamers on a short twenty minute ride through the village of Spanish Town to discover The Baths, an intriguing group of sea caves and unusual rock formations, spectacularly set on an amazing beach. From the parking area follow the winding footpath down to the beach to explore this geological wonder. Learn about the boulders' origins and the many curious names given to the rock formations. Swim, relax and enjoy the ambiance of this piece of paradise. Then, retrace your footprints in the sand and ascend the path for a refreshing fruit punch before departing via the safari wagons for a scenic island drive over Gorda Peak, with stunning views to the north side, where a tender awaits to transfer you back to SeaDream, now at anchor in beautiful, calm Gorda Sound.

Golf at Cuisinart Resort

THE COURSE AT CUISINART GOLF RESORT & SPA CuisinArt Golf Club offers a Caribbean golf experience where sand, wind and water blend seamlessly with Anguilla's natural environment to present a golfer's paradise. In planning the course, significant environmental efforts were undertaken to preserve and to enhance the island's natural habitats. Most significant was the renewal of Merrywing Salt Pond, an island landmark. Featured predominantly in the course, the pond's water has been reinvigorated, giving rebirth to its natural organisms. New flushing channels permit seawater to flow out of the pond during high tide. Players are greeted at the starting hole of this 7,063-yard championship course by spectacular views of St. Maarten and the Caribbean Sea, and the overwhelming visual appeal continues. Some of its signature holes include: " 1st hole: A spectacular vista of St. Maarten and the Caribbean Sea awaits players at the tee box of the 390-yard starting hole. The fairway descends over 40 feet to a narrow, two-tiered green sitting precariously on the edge of a saltwater lagoon. Robb Report called this first hole "The Caribbean's answer to the 18th at Pebble Beach." " 2nd and 10th holes: Holes two and ten share a 16,000 square foot green that rests along the Anguilla Channel. " 16th hole: Large seagrape trees on the left and the Merrywing pond on the right frame the perilous drive on the 440-yard 16th hole that plays into the tradewinds and ends with an elevated green surrounded by water and protected by deep bunkers. " 18th hole: The drive for the finishing hole runs along the edge of a mangrove thicket in a vast stretch of salt marsh that winds through eight other course holes. The narrowing fairway ascends forty feet through rugged terrain to a narrow green carved out of native shrub.
