Port Name Description
Marigot is the main town and capital on the French side of Saint Martin. The city of Marigot is perhaps the most French in spirit of all the cities in the Caribbean. Colonial houses stand beside smart cafés and bistros, pastry shops and luxury boutiques, and in many ways it looks just like any of the French market towns you might expect to find in Europe. At the southern end of town by the harbor is Marina Port la Royale. This area includes elegant stores with the latest in European designer fashions and fine jewelry, all duty and tax free. The entire city is only four streets wide, so it is very easy to get around. Marigot was made capital during the reign of King Louis XVI, who built Fort St. Louis on a hill near Marigot Bay. Today, that building is the most important in the city. SeaDream anchors off Marigot and offers several yachting land adventures as well as the possibility to play with the toys at the marina.
The SeaDream anchorage off the island of Terre-de-Haut (part of the Iles des Saintes group of Islands) is one of the most picturesque in the entire Caribbean. Your SeaDream yacht will anchor in the bay off Bourg des Saintes, the main village on the island. Just beyond the sister island of Ilet a Cabrit to the north, you can see the main island of Guadeloupe and volcanic La Soufriere mountain with a height of about 1,466 meters/4,810 feet. A short ride onboard your SeaDream tender will take you right into the center of this charming village with its shops, restaurants and cafes. We highly recommend a stroll along the picturesque streets and colorfully painted houses soaking in the relaxed blend of the islands French, Mediterranean & Caribbean atmosphere. If you feel energetic, we suggest that you hike up to Fort Napoleon, which has been converted into a museum, for some stunning hilltop views. You can't miss it, just turn left as you come off the pier and proceed about one mile, uphill. The museum is generally open from 0900-1230 hours and charges a small entrance fee so bring your Euros. And watch your step " the grounds around the fort are also home to a unique cactus garden and iguanas. Don't forget your camera and protection from the sun! Feeling even more energetic? Take out one of our SeaDream mountain bikes! Are you looking for some sun, sand, beach and palm trees? Our onboard Club Director knows a great beach just a short 20-25 minute, mostly flat, stroll from town. Along the walk, keep your eyes on the trees as we often spot some of the islands iguanas. Grab your sunscreen, a bottle of water and a towel from the yacht, underdress in your bathing suit and "hit the road" for some sunny hours at the beach. Casual, fun and free! During your visit to the island, we will also open up the SeaDream marina for swimming and water sports activities from the yacht. Check your daily program for the hours.
With nearly 3,000 residents, Portsmouth is the second largest town in Dominica. SeaDream can either dock alongside the unique wooden pier or lie at anchor in Prince Rupert Bay to offer activities from the marina. A must do would be to navigate Indian River with a SeaDream Land Adventure or explore Cabrits National Park.
Saba is the smallest special municipality of the Netherlands. It consists largely of the potentially active volcano Mount Scenery, which at 887 metres (2,910 ft) is the highest point within the Kingdom of the Netherlands. The island has a land area of 13 square kilometres (5.0 sq mi). Its current towns and major settlements are The Bottom (the capital), Windwardside Town, Hell's Gate and St. Johns. As the island is part of the Netherlands, Dutch is the official language. Despite the island's Dutch affiliation, English is the principal language spoken on the island. Saba is home to the Saba University School of Medicine, which was established by American expatriates in coordination with the government of the Netherlands. SeaDream may be the only commercial vessel that calls to this unique island. Scuba Diving is said to be the best in the Caribbean. Guests will be offered an incredible hike as well as a scenic overview of the island.
Perhaps our most treasured destination in the Caribbean! This small island belonging to the French West Indies has so much to offer our SeaDream guests. Incredible shopping only steps away from pier. Incredible beaches, resorts, restaurants and activities both day and night. SeaDream has created various land adventures for you to discover the island from sea or land. Ask one of the officers to take you on a hike or bike ride around the island. Another great activity here is to simply relax and watch all of the incredible yachts arriving and departing just off your SeaDream yacht.

Nearly every publication written about Virgin Gorda will emphasize the need to visit “The Baths” – don’t miss it! SeaDream generally arrives early and anchor’s off Spanish Town to give guests an early start to view the baths before all of the tourists arrive from the neighboring Islands. You may also consider excellent Scuba Diving options or an opportunity to swim with the dolphins. After our short “technical stop” to dispatch land adventures and clearance with the officials. SeaDream navigates scenically up the coast and arrives to North Sound to anchor just off the Bitter End Yacht Club. Here we offer water sports, land adventures, hiking options with the officers and tenders to the Bitter End! Depending on the voyage, you may also visit Prickly Pear Island for another signature Champagne and Caviar Splash option with an incredible setting.
The BVI’s barefoot island and home of the painkiller. Population depends on the month – typically 250-300. This is another SeaDream destination where you may be served Champagne and Caviar in the surf followed by an amazing BBQ Luncheon. A hike is always offered to guests to visit the famous Foxy’s Bar at Great Harbour (hopefully the boutique is open) or you can stroll a few meters down the beach to the Soggy Dollar Bar. Snorkel equipment is provided as well as some of our water toys!

Circle St. Barts on Fast N' Fun

This seagoing adventure is one of our favorites and offers a fantastic, fun AND FAST, way to gain a unique perspective of the island of St. Barts. Circumnavigate the island aboard a 30-foot long Big Rapid in-submersible boat originally designed for rescue at sea. Up to 10 of your fellow SeaDream guests stand buckled into upright back supports, which are surprisingly comfortable and give you a great view. Your skipper is a retired yacht captain, who enjoys taking visitors on this unique ride to see the hidden coves and billionaire mansions along the coastline. Starting in Gustavia harbor, pass Shell Beach towards Pointe de Gouverneur, where the usual south-easterly swell makes for some wet fun as your specially designed boat takes the waves. Continuing past gorgeous secluded beaches, you reach the southeast point of the island and the Atlantic Ocean. Beautiful views of Grand Fond valley and Morne Vitet, St. Bart's highest peak catch your eye as the boat skims to the north side of the island, passing the unique airport, more lovely beaches, famous restaurants and hotels such as Nikki Beach, The Eden Rock and St. Barts Isle-De-France among others as well as many secluded villas. Rounding Pointe de Colombier, you're back in the Caribbean. A short stop is made in the bay at Rockefeller Beach for you to dive overboard for a swim and have a cool drink. Then it's back to Gustavia harbor, with plenty of time left for exploring and shopping in town.

The transfer concludes at the conveniently located central section of Orient Bay Beach - Orient Bay is one of the nicest and longest beaches on the island, approximatly 2 ½ km of golden sand boarding the Atlantic Sea. Located on the north eastern part of the island, it is certainly the most animated with all its watersports facilities. You will spend there a memorable time at the beach. We take our SeaDreamers to a section of Orient Bay called Waikiki Beach (named after the restaurant here and also offering great food). You will find several bars, cafes; water sport rental stands (parasailing, hobbies, jet skis) here. For your orientation, the southern portion is St Martin's (in) famous nude beach, while the northern end popular with windsurfers. You'll have approximately three hours to do as you please: walk the beach, browse some of the shops, enjoy a snack and some people watching at one of the cafes, or partake of the water sport activities available. Then re-board the transfer vehicle where you first arrived at "Waikiki" for your return to the SeaDream pier in Marigot. This is a great way to "soak up some of the local color" and still have the afternoon for shopping in Marigot.

The Baths

This is the "Must-see & Do" land adventure on Virgin Gorda, if not in the entire British Virgin Islands. Open-air safari wagons will take you and your fellow SeaDreamers on a short twenty minute ride through the village of Spanish Town to discover The Baths, an intriguing group of sea caves and unusual rock formations, spectacularly set on an amazing beach. From the parking area follow the winding footpath down to the beach to explore this geological wonder. Wade knee deep through the sea caves formed by mammoth boulders and bask in the shafts of sunlight pouring through the natural ceiling into the pools below. Learn about the boulders' origins and the many curious names given to the rock formations. Swim, relax and enjoy the ambiance of this piece of paradise. Then, retrace your footprints in the sand and ascend the path for a refreshing fruit punch before departing via the safari wagons for a scenic island drive over Gorda Peak, with stunning views to the north side, where a tender awaits to transfer you back to SeaDream, now at anchor in beautiful, calm Gorda Sound.

Notes Please bring swimwear, towel and sunscreen. The portion of the adventure involving actual exploration of the cave area can be considered strenuous to some so set your own pace; do as much or as little as you wish. Guests who prefer to enjoy the beach during this portion of the adventure are welcome to do so! We recommend wearing comfortable walking shoes as the footpath to THE BATHS is uneven. Get set to get wet on this fun & exciting adventure into the so-called "Land of 365 Rivers." You'll see why Dominica is known as the Nature Isle of the Caribbean as you drive from Portsmouth to the launch site for today's entertaining tubing trip down the Layou River. On arrival there is a safety briefing, after which you get your life vest (must be worn), a modified inner tube and paddle before getting into the river. Don't forget to look up! You stop briefly to enjoy a popular Dominican pastime - river bathing - where you swim in the crystal clean waters for a few minutes before continuing down the scenic river until the exit point. Port information

Lovers of nature will find their paradise on the island of La Palma, also known as "La Isla Bonita" (the beautiful island). La Palma is wild, rugged and dramatic, made up of steep mountains and clad in dense, sub-tropical vegetation. It is also delightfully untouched by tourism and the small town of Santa Cruz, the capital, is famous for its elaborate wooden Canarian balconies and vibrant facades. One of the most popular sites is the UNESCO Biosphere reserve of Los Tilos, where a vast primeval forest towers above acid green tree ferns, while ribbons of waterfalls cascade hundreds of feet over volcanic cliffs. The island is also home to working banana plantations, volcanic craters and a thriving cottage industry of cigar rolling and pottery making. And try some star gazing...the clear, limped skies led to the International Scientific Community choosing the island as the site for one of the most important Astrophysics Observatories in the Northern hemisphere.
