Indian River Exploration
Welcome to the Nature Isle of the Caribbean! This mornings trip onboard wooden rowboats (oarsman provided) allow you to discover the spectacular natural beauty of this island without the noise of a motor engine. Following a ride to the river onboard a mini bus, board your boat for a personally guided journey up the twisting Indian River, once used by the Carib Indians, through a "tunnel of green." Luxuriant vegetation hangs overhead and serpentine roots cling to the banks, while multi- colored crabs scurry busily underneath. Your oarsman will point out interesting flora and fauna. Listen carefully; you may hear herons in the thick canopy of leaves, exotic birds and fish breaking the water's surface below. At the head of the river disembark and enjoy a stroll through the rainforest followed by a complimentary Rum or fruit Punch at the Indian River Jungle Bar before returning to your yacht.
