Visiting Erice & and a Sicilian Olive Oil Estate
Should you prefer a bit less walking and culture, we would like to recommend this visit to Erice followed by a specially hosted visit to the Burgarella family estate. Some wonderful "Bruschetta's" and olive oils are just waiting for you to be tasted in the "Baglio" a farmhouse dating back to the end of 1700. Depart from the harbour, pass through Trapani and in about 30-minutes you reach Erice - a delightful medieval village in a panoramic setting dominating the city of Trapani, the Mediterranean Sea and the Egadi Islands. The Norman's influence is still strongly felt in the towers and fortifications of this hilltop village that also features English-style gardens scattered throughout town. Following your arrival, there will be time for a guided walk as well as independent leisure time for your own explorations of the charming cobbled streets and its shops. Then, rest up from your walk at Erica as you head towards your next stop, a culinary visit to Sicily at the Burgarella family estate. For the next hour taste some of the delicious home made Bruschetta's (slices of home mae bread with various toppings) and Olive oils before heading back to the port of Trapani and your SeaDream yacht.
