Helsinki and Surroundings by Bike

A guided biking adventure is a great way to get to know a new city. Helsinki has miles of bike paths and biking is a popular way to get around the summer! you pick up your bikes on the pier and your route starts directly from the harbor and goes through the city, passing the most important sights in the heart of Helsinki. You and your fellow guests cycle through green areas and parks, past museums, admire the sea and feel the spirit of the downtown area. you will make several stops during your route, when your guide will tell more about the history and culture of Helsinki. After making a short stop at the Rock Church the adventure will continue to the composer Jean Sibelius monument. Not far from here, by the waterfront you pass the residence of Finland's President and summer house of the Prime Minister of Finland. You then continue to the suburbs with private homes on your route which takes you over small islands. You will also get a glimpse of Helsinki Technological area where many companies have their head offices such as Nokia and Kone elevators. Along the coastal roads you pass the ship building yards, where several of the world's cruise liners have been built and along Kaivopuisto Park area. From here the route takes you along the seaside and back to the Market Square and the pier. During the biking adventure, there will be stops for a fruit snack and orange juice or water will be served. Almost the entire route goes along cycling paths, the adventure takes approximately 3.5 hours. A support vehicle will accompany the group at all times. Comfortable clothing and sun glasses are good to have with you on this Yachting Land Adventure.
