Yachting Land Adventure

Krka National Park & Waterfalls

A short drive north of Sibenik takes us to the Krka National Park. The park encloses an area of 42 square miles along the Krka River. The area has numerous travertine waterfalls and cascades along the river which falls a total of 800 feet from its start in the Dinaric Mountains. Upon arrival at the Park we head for the last set of falls before the river meets the sea. The Skradinski Buk Falls form a spectacular multi-level cascade over travertine cliffs. They are 150 feet tall and are segmented in 17 greater or smaller stages interspersed with a series of miniature azure lakes. The Krka river comes in contact with sea water in this area. Bring your bathing suit so that you can take a dip just below the falls. Krka is rich in flora and fauna with well over 200 bird species living here, making it one of the most valuable ornithological areas in Europe. This unique area has been kept in its original state. After a guided walking tour you will have some time to explore the Park on your own before boarding bus for the return drive back to Sibenik.
