Old Goa & Panjim City
Your SeaDream Land Adventure will visit Old Goa and Panjim City. Old Goa, which was the ancient capital of Goa, once ruled by Adil Shah and was later conquered by the Portuguese who ruled here for 450 years. All that now remains of Old Goa's former glory, are it's imposing Churches and Cathedrals which houses 14 magnificent alters and five bells of which one is the famous Golden Bell, said to have been heard all over Goa. The Basilica of Bom Jesus, houses the mortal and visible remains of Goa's Patron Saint. St. Francis Xavier, in the silver casket. The churches are also listed as UNESCO "World Heritage Monuments." You then proceed to the Solar Dos Colacos mansion where we will be welcomed with a feni cocktail drink followed by an overview of the mansion. Your land adventure continues with a drive to Panjim, the capital City of Goa, built on the banks of river Mandovi, where you can walk through the small squares and back lanes of the town's old quarters where the Portuguese influence is most evident. There will be some time for shopping before returning to the pier to re-board your yacht.
