The Palaces of Odessa
Discover the highlights and rich cultural heritage of Odessa, which for centuries has been an inspiration to artists, poets, writers and musicians on this comprehensive “special interest” land adventure. Take a short pleasant drive to the Palace of Count Tolstoy, which now houses the Scientists’ Club of Odessa. Among the Palace’s exhibits there is a collection of photographs and furniture which once belonged to Count Mikhail Tolstoy, a cousin of Leo Tolstoy, an outstanding Russian writer. Your Yachting Land Adventure continues with the visit to the refined Gagarin’s palace. Your guided visit to the Palace will allow you to absorb the atmosphere of the 19th century Russian noble family and learn the development of literature as the palace now houses the Literature Museum. Once you have completed your exploration in the rooms of the museum enjoy a string concert in the Golden Hall of the Museum sipping local champagne served before the performance.
