Rafting the Rio Grande

Rafting the Rio Grande

The Rio Grande is the birthplace of rafting in Jamaica. The original use of these rafts was to transport bananas for export from the inland plantations to the harbor at Port Antonio. This was popularized by Errol Flynn who used to challenge his guests to have moonlight rafting races along the river. The old world Charm of this quaint little area known as Port Antonio, can still be enjoyed today as a private raft for two can be booked for a relaxing, educational and historic trip back in time. Space is limited so book early.
