Delos, Cyclades, Greece

This small island, a short distance from Mykonos, is one of the most important mythological, historical and archaeological sites in Greece. Indeed, its location at the center of the Cyclades gives rise to the theory that the name of the Cyclades group of islands in the Aegean sea comes from the word, circle or 'kyklos' that form around the isle of Delos.
