Discover the unspoilt landscape of the Algarve, as you drive along roads inaccessible to larger vehicles on this scenic 4x4 Yachting Land Adventure.
From Praia da Rocha, your 4-wheel-drive vehicle will follow country roads taking you to the Monchique Mountains, and the highest point in the Algarve. Along the way you will see numerous cork plantations as your driver/guide explains the importance of this material and industry to the region.
Stopping in the village of Monchique, you will have time to shop for some fine examples of Algarve's clever handicrafts.
Then, continue four-wheeling up to Fóia, the highest point of the Algarve, where (weather permitting) you will be able to admire the view of the coastline and inland. Don't miss the chance to taste the famous Algarve firewater -- Medronho. It's not for everyone, but it would be a shame not to find out if it's for you!
Notes: Tour is by four-wheel-drive vehicle driven caravan-style by a driver/guide. Excursion may be bumpy and is not suitable for guests with neck/back conditions or for pregnant women. Not advisable for guests using a wheelchair. Maximum weight is 220 lbs. A minimum participation is required to operate all Yachting Land Adventures and some have limited capacity.
