Guided Bike Ride to Kadriorg Park
You and your fellow SeaDream active guests will start your comfortable 2-hour bike ride from the pier, following a route through the city center to beautiful Kadriorg Park. In the park, there is the Kadriorg Palace which was built in 1723 by Peter the Great in honor of his empress wife Catherine I. Kadriorg means "Catherine's valley" in Estonian, although the palace was seldom visited by the Tsarina. It served as Tallinn's art museum for many years and is still a very popular museum attraction today. After viewing the palace from the outside you will continue biking to see the new art museum KUMU. The museum is the largest one in the Baltics and one of the largest art museums in Northern Europe. The designer was a Finnish architect, Pekka Vapaavuori, who won the architect competition in 1994. The new museum was opened in 2006 and received the European Museum of the Year Award 2008. We continue on past the President's Palace and return to the pier and your SeaDream yacht.
