Highlights of Safranbolu

Discover another World Unesco Heritage Site from your SeaDream Yacht!
After your departure from the port, a narrative drive will take you to Safranbolu through the mountains and villages. This 2 hour drive will end in the heart of Safranbolu which was listed as a “Unesco World Heritage” site in 1994 due to its well-preserved Ottoman era houses and architecture. The name of the city derives from “saffron” and the Greek word “polis (city)”, since Safranbolu was a trading place and a center for growing “saffron”.

Your first visit in Safranbolu will be “City Museum”, which presents the history of the city. The exhibitions will show you how trading life was in the early 20th century. You will continue your land adventure with a delicious lunch in a local Ottoman House. The Governor’s House will be the next stop which displays the tradition of life in the city. A short walk through “Izzet Mehmet Pasa Mosque” will bring you to the streets of Blacksmith’s Bazaar. Your last stop in Safranbolu will be Cinci Inn which is an old caravanserai with its 60 guest rooms dating from 1640.

Your Land Adventure will then take you back to your SeaDream yacht.
